TUNIS, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian security units have dismantled a drug trafficking network in the northern Ariana province operating between Tunisia and Libya, and arrested two individuals, private radio station Mosaique FM reported Monday.
Apart from the two detainees in the Dar Fadhal area, two additional individuals are being searched for links to the network, Mosaique FM reported.
During the operation, the security units seized 10 kg of raw cocaine, over 200 cannabis tablets, a sum of money worth about 58,000 U.S. dollars, and four vehicles used in criminal activities, it reported.
The report did not mention the timing of the operation or the nationalities of the suspects.
The Tunisian government has taken a strong stance against drug trafficking, arresting hundreds of individuals involved in the crime during recent nationwide operations. ■
